I’m passionate about shining a light on indie authors and the real stories behind their stories. Every book begins with a spark — a moment, a place, an experience — and I love giving authors the space to share that journey in their own words.

As part of my commitment to the indie community, I host relaxed 20‑minute conversations on my Story Behind My Stories podcast. These episodes are shared across all major platforms — video on Spotify and YouTube, and audio on my website, Amazon Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts — helping authors reach new readers and listeners.

From time to time, I also highlight selected episodes in my newsletter, giving them an extra boost to my engaged reader community.

How My Podcast Guest Process Works

I choose podcast guests based on a few simple criteria:

• The story behind their story is compelling

• It fits the themes of the podcast (inspiration, spark, journey)

• It aligns with what my audience enjoys

• I have space for it in my recording schedule

 

I’m happy to consider submissions from all indie authors across all genres — the heart of the story matters more than the category.

I record relaxed 20‑minute conversations online and episodes are shared across all my platforms: video on Spotify and YouTube and audio on my website, Amazon Podcasts and Apple Podcasts.

My Podcast Guest Policy

I always aim to support indie authors with honest, relaxed and respectful conversations. To keep the Story Behind My Stories podcast a positive space for listeners and writers, I follow this policy:

  • If your story doesn’t align with the themes of the podcast

  • If I feel the conversation wouldn’t serve you or my audience well

  • Or if I don’t have space in my recording schedule

…then I may not be able to offer a recording slot.

If that happens, I’ll let you know privately. I never leave authors wondering. This keeps the process fair, transparent, and supportive for everyone.

Episodes are shared across all my platforms:

• Video on Spotify and YouTube

• Audio on my website, Amazon Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts​.
