Why Large Print Matters — And Why Thai Die Is Just the Beginning

When a reader recently asked if Thai Die would be available in large print, I paused. Not because I hadn’t considered it, but because I realized how overdue it was. That simple request reminded me that accessibility isn’t just a technical checkbox — it’s a way of saying, “You matter. Your experience matters.”

I’m thrilled to share that Thai Die is now awaiting approval for large print on Amazon, and once it’s live, the rest of the series will follow. This isn’t just a format update — it’s a commitment to making my stories available to more people, in ways that work for them.
📚 Who Benefits from Large Print?
Large print editions aren’t just for older readers (though they’re a lifeline for many). They support:
- Readers with visual impairments: Whether due to macular degeneration, glaucoma, or other conditions, larger text can make reading possible — and pleasurable — again.
- Neurodivergent readers: Some people with dyslexia, ADHD, or sensory processing differences find large print easier to focus on and less visually overwhelming.
- Readers recovering from illness or injury: Eye strain, migraines, or post-surgery recovery can make standard print difficult. Large print offers a gentler alternative.
- Anyone who prefers it: Some readers simply enjoy the ease and comfort of larger text — especially during long reading sessions or late-night binges.
💡 Why It Matters for Crime Fiction
My stories are built on psychological tension, immersive detail, and emotional nuance. They’re meant to be devoured — not deciphered. If the format gets in the way of the experience, something’s lost. Large print ensures that the twists, turns, and quiet revelations land with full impact, no matter the reader’s needs.
🌍 Accessibility Is Inclusion
Offering large print isn’t just about expanding reach — it’s about deepening connection. It says: “You’re welcome here. You’re part of this world.” And for a genre that thrives on empathy, insight, and human complexity, that feels especially important.
So yes — Thai Die is just the beginning. The rest of the series will be available in large print soon, and I’ll continue to listen, adapt, and make sure my stories are as accessible as they are gripping.
If you’ve been waiting for this format, thank you for your patience — and for reminding me why it matters.
Have a good week,
Love Helen x
